office support
The lifeblood of most businesses is in their technology
systems, and John Lewis knows that better than most
people. As founder and president of LewisColorado, a
provider of professional computer and network system
services, John has helped many companies maximize the way
they do business by protecting, enhancing and maintaining
their information technology.
During the past couple of years, LewisColorado has earned
the confidence and trust of health care professionals by
servicing and managing the challenging technology needs in
a variety of medical practices throughout the metro area.
“I'm as passionate about data and business processes as
doctors are passionate about the health of their
patients,” said John, who counts Integrated Ear, Nose and
Throat clinic of Lone Tree as one of his most satisfied
clients.
“LewisColorado set up our new practice on time and on
budget,” said Deborah Sorensen, finance manager for
Integrated Ear, Nose and Throat. “Their technicians are
professional, friendly and always available in emergency
situations. I would highly recommend LewisColorado to any
new or existing medical practice.”
Other prominent medical clients include RidgeGate Facial
Aesthetic Surgery, Advanced Ear, Nose and Throat clinic
and RidgeGate Hearing Clinic. Recently LewisColorado
tackled a big challenge: Creating and implementing a plan
for one medical office to split into two, all within the
span of a weekend.
“The medical practice stopped seeing patients Friday
afternoon and by Monday morning we had everything set up
for the two new offices to resume seeing patients,” said
John. “We set up the server, firewalls and workstations on
budget and on time.”
Although availability and functionality are paramount,
LewisColorado also knows that medical practices need
special services that go beyond conventional information
technology support. As such, LewisColorado has worked with
McKesson Corporation software products and supports
ChartLogic(tm), a voice activated transcription system
that is revolutionizing the way health care professionals
track patient care.
“This is an incredible application for medical practices,
but it requires the right kind of technology to support
it,” said John, who works closely with ChartLogic(tm) as a
regional partner. “This electronic technology alleviates
the burden of copious amounts of paperwork and filing
equipment, and it streamlines work processes.”
The ChartLogic(tm) paperless electronic system is HIPAA
(Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act)
compliant and allows physicians to speak into a computer,
which automatically types the notes directly into the
patient's medical file. One of the most significant
benefits is a reduction in costly errors, along with a
tremendous time savings for physicians and their
employees.
“Currently we are working with a number of medical offices
to set up and install the infrastructure to support this
software,” said John. “Once that's accomplished, we will
be there to provide dependable and timely technical and
maintenance support.”
Over the course of serving many small to mid-sized
businesses, LewisColorado has earned a reputation for
dependability and accessibility.
“I can usually respond within an hour to a service call,”
said John. “When a client wants something fixed, I just
want to fix it.”
He's also a strong proponent of utilizing as many existing
components of a client's IT infrastructure as possible and
minimizing costs through streamlining often complicated
work processes.
“I take a close look at a company's work flow. I'm really
into productivity. I won't recommend an expensive
technical solution if it ultimately won't improve the
company's bottom-line,” said John. “I'm into productivity,
not into technology just for the sake of technology.”
LewisColorado was founded by John Lewis in 2000 to
provide professional computer support to medical and
health care practices in the Denver metro area. Services
include HIPAA compliant workstations and servers, medical
application support, data and voice equipment maintenance,
and computer and phone cabling, with 24/7 support in
Arapahoe and Douglas counties. LewisColorado is a Member
of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Denver Systems
Management Users Group and the International Who's Who of
Information Technology. John Lewis is a graduate of the
University of Western Ontario. His credential include
